# Submission history

> Every submission is stored and viewable in the inbox, with plan-driven retention.

Every submission that reaches a form - whether it lands in the Inbox or
[quarantine](/docs/features/quarantine) - is stored and viewable in the
dashboard, not just emailed and forgotten. This is what powers the Inbox/Spam
tabs, [CSV export](/docs/features/csv-export), and [quarantine rescue](/docs/features/quarantine-rescue).

## Viewing history

Open a form in the [dashboard](https://app.formpaste.com) and browse
the **Inbox** or **Spam** tab. Submissions are paginated, newest first.

## Retention

| Plan | Retention |
| ---- | --------- |
| Free | 90 days   |
| Pro  | 365 days  |

Submissions older than your plan's retention window are deleted
automatically. This runs as a routine background job - there's nothing to
configure, and there's no way to recover a submission once it's aged out, so
export anything you need to keep long-term via [CSV export](/docs/features/csv-export)
before it expires.

## Deleting a submission manually

Open the submission in the Inbox or Spam tab and delete it directly if you
want it gone before its retention window ends - this is permanent and
immediate, independent of the automatic retention job.
