Vercel newsletter form
Add a newsletter signup to your Vercel site with no serverless function. One email field in plain markup, and subscribers land in your inbox or your email tool. No backend of your own.
How to build it
- Create a form in your Formpaste dashboard and copy its access key.
- Add the markup above to your page or layout.
- Replace YOUR_ACCESS_KEY_HERE with your access key, then deploy.
Vercel gotchas
Vercel deploys your site, and a Formpaste form is just markup you ship with it - no serverless function and no backend of your own. It works the same in a Next.js app, an Astro site, or plain HTML.
No serverless function needed
You do not need an API route, a Serverless Function, or an Edge Function to collect submissions. The form posts straight to the Formpaste endpoint, so nothing server-side of yours runs at submit time.
Framework does not matter
Vercel deploys Next.js, Astro, plain HTML and much more. The form is markup in whichever one you use, so switching frameworks does not change how submissions are collected.
File uploads deploy the same way
A form with a file input posts multipart form data straight to Formpaste, so uploads work on a plain deploy with no upload endpoint of your own.
Keep the hidden access_key
Leave the generated hidden access_key input in place so Formpaste knows which form the submission belongs to.
What to get right
One field converts best
A newsletter form should ask for email only. Every extra field lowers signups.
Confirm before you celebrate
Show a subscribed message on success. If you need double opt-in, send the confirmation from your email tool, not the form.
Push to your email tool
Forward submissions to your ESP with a webhook so new subscribers land where you send campaigns.
How it works
Three simple steps for form submissions to land in your email inbox.
Create your form, set your form's action URL to Formpaste's endpoint, and add your access key.
Create your form
Sign up, verify your email, and create an access key in your dashboard.
