Contact forms for Angular

Build a working contact form for your Angular app with no backend. It is a component with a FormGroup, formControlName on each field, and an ngSubmit handler that posts to Formpaste. Preview it live, copy the component, and submissions land in your inbox - spam filtered.

How to create a Angular form

  1. 1

    Create a form in your Formpaste dashboard and copy its access key.

  2. 2

    Copy the component above into your app and import ReactiveFormsModule.

  3. 3

    Replace YOUR_ACCESS_KEY_HERE with your access key, then deploy.

Add a Formpaste contact form to my Angular app. Use a standalone component that imports ReactiveFormsModule, builds a FormGroup with FormControl for name, email and message, binds it with formGroup and formControlName, and POSTs the value as application/x-www-form-urlencoded (URLSearchParams) to https://api.formpaste.com/submit with the access_key included. No backend.

Or connect the Formpaste MCP server to Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Claude Desktop, VS Code, or any mcp-remote client. See the setup guide.

A component and a FormGroup

An Angular contact form is a component. You declare a FormGroup with a FormControl per field, bind it in the template with [formGroup] and formControlName, and handle (ngSubmit) by posting this.form.value to Formpaste. There is no API route, no mailer, and no database - the submission arrives in your inbox.

ReactiveFormsModule is the catch

The template directives are not global. A standalone component needs ReactiveFormsModule in its imports array; an NgModule-based app needs it in the module. If formGroup and formControlName seem to be ignored, that import is almost always what is missing.

Validators are for the visitor

Validators.required and the rest make the form better in the browser, and that is all they do. Nothing of yours runs on a server, so they cannot filter spam - Formpaste applies its own spam filtering once the submission arrives.

How it works

Three simple steps for form submissions to land in your email inbox.
Create your form, set your form's action URL to Formpaste's endpoint, and add your access key.

1

Create your form

Sign up, verify your email, and create an access key in your dashboard.

2

Copy the code

Paste the snippet above into your project. Pick CSS or Tailwind to match your site.

import { Component } from "@angular/core";
import { FormControl, FormGroup, ReactiveFormsModule, Validators } from "@angular/forms";

const ACCESS_KEY = "YOUR_ACCESS_KEY_HERE";

@Component({
  selector: "app-contact-form",
  standalone: true,
  imports: [ReactiveFormsModule],
  template: `
